Bathrooms + Kitchens | Herringbone Pattern Tiles

The Herringbone pattern involves placing rectangles in a staggered zigzag pattern.

The herringbone pattern has used on floors for centuries and has been making a comeback over the last few years, predominantly in kitchens and bathrooms. I'm about to use this pattern in a kitchen design I've been working on and I'm looking forward to seeing them installed, as tiling can have such a big impact on the overall look of a room. I'll post images as soon as I get some pics of the completed space.

The herringbone pattern can help to give a room an open uncluttered feel. I love these black floor tiles above, they look amazing paired with the simplicity of the square white tiles on the walls.

These white bevelled edged subway tiles look great in this kitchen, the owners have kept it simple and classic by using white grout.

These little marble tiles look great in this laundry room and help to add a little bit of luxe to space that can often be neglected in a home.
